This privacy policy describes how we protect and handle the personal information that you provide and that we obtain through our application ZipHealth™ and at our Website. By using ZipHealth, you consent to the collection and use of your Personal Information by Applied Research Works Limited ("ARW") as described herein. ARW reserves the right to change how we handle the information we collect through ZipHealth and through our Website at any time. We will update this privacy policy to reflect any changes in our privacy collection and handling practices, and will indicate that changes to this privacy policy have been made by listing a new date under “Last Modified” at the top of this privacy policy. For material changes to this privacy statement, we will place a prominent notice on the home page of ZipHealth. We encourage you to review this privacy statement periodically to stay informed about how we are helping to protect the personal information we collect. Your continued use of ZipHealth constitutes your agreement to this privacy statement and any updates.

  • "Supported PHR" means Google Health or Microsoft HealthVault.
  • Please be aware that this privacy statement and any choices you make on ZipHealth do not necessarily apply to personal information you may have provided to ARW in the context of other of our separately operated products or services.

Our Commitment to Privacy

The privacy of your personal health information is paramount. Our Privacy Policy is designed to assist you in understanding how we collect, use and safeguard the personal information you provide to us and to assist you in making informed decisions when using our website and our products and services. We do not use or disclose your information except as described in this privacy statement.

Introduction

The ZipHealth applications for iPhone, BlackBerry, Android and other phones employ the latest technology and medical information to

  1. enable mobile access to Personal Health Records ("PHR"), and
  2. enable you to log, chart and track your health maintenance tasks on your phone.

With ZipHealth, you can:

  • import medical records from a Supported PHR to your phone;
  • manage your medications, measurements, and diet/exercise plans on your phone;
  • save daily logs to a Supported PHR; and
  • share and discuss the above information with the people you choose.

The imported health records, schedules, daily logs and discussions are stored on your phone and on ARW's servers.

Sharing Information with Supported PHRs

To use ZipHealth, you must have an account with a Supported PHR. The first time you launch ZipHealth, and every time you add a new account to ZipHealth, you will be asked to authorize ZipHealth to access an account at a Supported PHR.

  • To enable Ziphealth to access a Google Health account, you must provide ZipHealth with personal information that includes your Google ID, and you must then log into the said Google Health account to authorize ZipHealth to access it.
  • To enable ZipHealth to access a Microsoft HealthVault account, you must provide ZipHealth with personal information that includes your Live ID, and you must then log into the said HealthVault account to authorize ZipHealth to access it.

When you authorize ZipHealth to access an account at a Supported PHR, ZipHealth will use this authorization to download, upload, and modify information the in said account. The Supported PHR will, therefore, have access to information that can be used to deduce whether, when, where, and how you used ZipHealth on your phone. The handling of this information by the providers of the Supported PHR will not be governed by the terms of this Privacy Policy.

When you use ZipHealth to manage health information on an account at a Supported PHR, ZipHealth and ARW Servers will read, upload and modify information in the said account. The handling of this information by the providers of the Supported PHR will not be governed by the terms of this Privacy Policy.

Throughout ZipHealth, you are required to provide personal information which is then stored at a Supported PHR. You should examine the individual privacy policies and terms of service of your choice(s) of Supported PHR(s) prior to using their services because the handling of this information by the providers of the Supported PHR will not be governed by the terms of this Privacy Policy. We encourage you to contact us if you believe a provider is not protecting the privacy or security of your health and wellness information.

If you would rather us not share your personal information with any third party Supported PHRs, please:

  1. Do not install or launch ZipHealth.
  2. If you have already started using ZipHealth, please delete all Supported PHR account(s) from ZipHealth, and then uninstall ZipHealth.

How ZipHealth and ARW Use Your Personal Information

We use personal information collected through ZipHealth, including information accessed from authorized accounts at a Supported PHR, to enable the services provided through ZipHealth and as described in this privacy statement. In support of these uses, we may use personal information to:

• Provide you with important information about ZipHealth, including critical updates and notification
• Send you Email and/or mobile alerts
• Determine appropriate services relevant to you, your lifestyle and your geographic location

We may access and/or disclose your personal information if we believe such action is necessary to: (a) comply with the law or legal process served on us; (b) protect and defend our rights or property (including the enforcement of our agreements); (c) act in urgent circumstances to protect the personal safety and welfare of ZipHealth users or members of the public; or (d) as part of a reorganization, consolidation, merger, or transfer of substantially all of the assets of ARW. Personal information collected on ZipHealth is currently stored and processed in the United States.

We will not sell your data even in aggregated form.
